What we're about

Welcome to Sydney Social Irish,

Following our lovely founder Sinéad's official step down from Organiser, we have adopted a new name "Sydney Social Irish" to reflect the new era of this group.

We shall maintain the original ethos of the the Irish Brekkie Club. We will continue to organise inclusive Irish events; singles, couples, families, 2 or 4 legged friends, whether you're Irish/Irish identifying or even just able to keep up with the banter.

Regular events include brekkies and Irish events (St Patrick's Day, gigs, gaelic and rugby matches, film festivals, plays, etc). Hopefully, post Covid, Irish bands, etc. will make their way back here.

Gatherings suggested/hosted by members in their locality are encouraged. You might initially feel a bit allergic but fear not- loads of brekkie clubbers have organised mini-meetups and have met brilliant folk, and life long friends, as a result. Drop us a message with the details and we'll support you by setting it up and sending a wee shout-out email to everyone :) (Both Brigid and Briege are north-siders, so especially keen to be dragged south-side and out west :-))

It can be as small or large a gathering as you like – you set the limit. We just ask that you remember the strictly non-profit spirit of the gatherings, free of commercial agenda.

You may be new to Sydney, have found that Irish friends are moving back home or simply want to discover other Irish/Ireland-lovin' folk living in your area, have a bbq at your local park or grab a cuppa with others from your home county...up to you :)

If you're more of a gathering-attendee, just click the rsvp button to the next meetup that takes your fancy!

Hope to see ye soon!
