April meetup at Atlassian

Details

Our April meetup is happening April 16th at Atlassian.
Please come to listen to our 2 amazing speakers and a surprise talk!
First, Antony Clements will talk about converting Text to speech with Unity.
Antony has been programming for a couple decades, and turned his attention to game development in 2016. Antony is currently writing a custom inspector to make it easier to make games accessible.

Then, Adam Goodrich from Procedural Worlds will do a speed level design and show off their latest technology including Gaia, GeNa, CTS, Path Painter, Ambient Skies, Sounds, AI and Pegasus. From zero to somewhere in 30 minutes!

And our 3rd talk is by Stefano Deflorio and it's all about changing careers and starting with GameDev.
Here's the description:
"After 15 years working as a Chef, I decided to become a professional Game Developer, and I made it.
Changing career is no walk in the park, even more so, when the skillset required is worlds apart, and you don’t get any younger. But CAN be done.
In this talk, I will share anecdotes of my journey, how I survived rough waters, and life strategies I have adopted to reach one of the biggest dreams of my life.
If you are thinking of making a move for new career, or you are doing it right now, you might walk away with some useful tips on how to juggle life’s lemons"

As always, we’re meeting at Atlassian. Doors open at 6 pm. Talks start at 6:30.
Please note that the entrance to Atlassian is not from George street, but from Wynyard street - just opposite Woolworth Metro.

Call or message me if you're late, and I'll come down to get you.
