"Central to Balmain" via Chippy-Uni-Roselle-Annandale-Birchgrove-Balmain 13km Walk!

NOTE: "Meeting Point" - Grand Central Station's "Transport Information Big Board" near Platform 4. Café perfectly placed nearby if you arrive early. Meet other walkers.

"Special" Brand New Unique Walks: Enjoy-Easy-Moderate-Walk! Central Station to Balmain. Don't miss this interesting "Inner Suburbs" 13km Mostly Flat, a few hills/stairs, perfect for beginners.

Start: Central Station, down Railway Colonnade Drive, through the exciting back streets of Chippindale then onto the amazing Victoria Park. Yes we walk through the Uni of Sydney. where we discover the "Tunnel of Graffiti" a truly eye-opening sceptical.

Hey Hey! This is where we twist and turn through Camperdown towards narrow Johnstons Creek, a unique, nearly unknown laneway!

Glebe Foreshore Park is next, then Federal Park. then the big new interchange. Crossing over the Pedestrian Bridge at Whites Creek is a blast. You will love walking past the Rozelle Wetlands, with some exciting new pathway variations.

Jumping over the City W Link, we emerge at Cohen Park Tennis Courts. Whites Creek Valley Park is next, then over to Memorial Park. Toilets and water fountains everywhere along these walkways. It's exciting to visit new parts of Sydney!

At last, we stop for 20 minute at "Son of a Baker" cafe/bakery with 5 big ovens cooking up scrumptious varieties of bread. Next door, "The Local Tart" shop many choices. We can sit at tables/chairs inside or outside, the perfect spot for our "Half Way Break"!

"Hit the Road again" wandering along to Pioneer Memorial Park (nice bathrooms). Afterwards, Blackmore Oval, then reaching Le Montage and Leichhardt Oval.

Easy beautiful walking through to Leichhardt Rowing Club, Callen Park is next and King George Park. Moving along under the Iron Cove Bridge to Balmain Cove Park then Bridgewater Park.

Balmain Rowing Club, next, Dawn Frazer Baths. Water Street Reserve next views at Elkington Park.

Balmain Sailing Club, next Ballast Point Park, we cross Mort Bay Park to explore it's history on the way. It's not a race so we walk for fun and exercise.

"The End" Hope you enjoy!!!! We Ferry back to the Quay or Darling Harbour.

Distance: 13km (about 3.5 hours)
Difficulty: Easy/Moderate for Distance 3.5 hours, exit spots. Paths Walk, Parks Walk! Easy Walk!

Walking Pace: An easy steady pace at 4km-4.25km per hour.
What to Bring: Comfortable outfit, good walking shoes, one litre water, snacks, hat, sunscreen, a raincoat just in case. Bring your happy personality too!
