PLEASE NOTE

We are pleased to announce the details for the kickoff of our much anticipated fast.ai study group.

Join us to build your skills in Practical Deep-Learning for Coders in a supportive and accountable environment.

How it works:

*** In-person kickoff has been changed - this is now an online session, where we will receive a hands-on tutorial in cloud administration, including an intro into using Sagemaker to complete the course, plus a voucher for AWS credits to help you access the resources you need to complete the course.
*** 14 online sessions over approximately 6 months where we will review course materials and work through exercises. These will be run fortnightly starting on Monday the 23rd of March.
*** Slack channel to chat about issues in between sessions.
*** If you cannot attend the kickoff event, but still want to join the study group, please contact sydney@wimlds.org and we will do our best to accommodate.

What you need:

*** Recommended for users with 1+ year coding experience - Python familiarity is a bonus.
*** Readiness to learn and a good enough internet connection to reliably connect to the online sessions.

Kickoff event:

*** Mon 23/03/2020 18:00-21:00
*** AT HOME; STAY HOME EVERYONE; please and thankyou...
*** You MUST RSVP to this event (including full name) to the eventbrite page, so that you can receive the zoom meeting link
*** Hands on tutorial from an experienced Amazon SA - Sara van de Moosdijk.

Sara van de Moosdijk, simply known as Moose, is a Partner Solutions Architect for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML PSA) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Australia. She helps AWS partners build and scale AI/ML solutions through technical enablement, support, and architectural guidance. Drawing on experience from her previous role as an AI consultant at Accenture, implementing and deploying machine learning projects in EMEA and NAMER, Moose aims to make machine learning accessible to all levels within an organization. She holds degrees in Natural Language Processing from Charles University in Prague (CZ) and the University of Lorraine (FR). Moose spends her free time figuring out how to fit more books in her overflowing bookcase.
