My name is Alaina, and I am a student from Toronto, Canada! I am excited to be travelling throughout Australia over the next year, and I am trying to put together a group of adventurers who would be interested in hiking the entire length of the Larapinta trail in late June/July, 2018.
Length: 223 km
Total Time: around 12-16 days to complete, depending on itinerary
About: Starting in Alice Springs and ending at Redbank Gorge, the Larapinta trail makes its way through the Macdonnell Ranges in Australia's Northern Territory. As rated as one of the most unique and spectacular trekking experiences in the world, this bushwalking adventure should be high on your bucket list! Disclaimer: Participating in this trek means that you will be fully self sufficient. You must be able to carry your pack for the entire length of the trip, have all of the hiking and camping equipment necessary, and are responsible for preparing your own food/food drops (although there are many companies that offer supports in all of these areas).
Additional Prices: In addition to the cost of any rentals and supports you might need, there is also the cost of airfare/transportation to Alice Springs. I've found that prices vary greatly.
