Today we meet at 10:00 am Bitton Rosebay a charming French café and bistro nestled in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs, it’s a short walk from Rosebay Wharf. You may want to come earlier and enjoy breakfast and coffee and enjoy photographing the surrounding area
10:30 – 11:15 AM Memorial & Coastal Exploration
Begin the walk by heading down O'Sullivan Road towards the harbour. This stretch has wide footpaths suitable for a large group.
Rose Bay War Memorial: A peaceful spot with plenty of room for our group to gather and take photos of the stone pylons and harbor backdrop.
Rose Bay Wharf: Capture the arrival of the F9 ferry and the movement of commuters. The wharf area is spacious enough for a large group to spread out.
Rose Bay Marina
Kobi Cove: Located near Rose Bay Marina, this quiet cove offers great low-angle shots of luxury yachts and clear water.
11:15 – 11:40 AM Village & "Italian" Murals
Follow New South Head Road into the shopping village. This area is a visual highlight for urban photography.
Rose Bay Viewpoint, Collins Lane. This is the "Italian inspired" street featuring Mediterranean-style murals and the "Concrete Carpet" art.
Continue following New South Head Road and turn off to Dumaresq Road to reach very wide sandy area starting at the end of Dumaresq Reserve
Rose Bay Beach: A very wide sandy area starting at the end of Dumaresq Reserve. It's the best place for photographing seaplanes coming and going without crowding others.
11:50 AM – Architectural Stop: Fernleigh Castle
Take a quick 5-minute diversion up the hill to Fernleigh Gardens and stop at Fernleigh Castle, an iconic 19th-century sandstone mansion. Because this is a private residence, your group of 26 should remain on the public footpath to capture the turrets and towers.
12:15 PM – Lunch & Wrap-up
Hotel Rose Bay
Finish your walk at Hotel Rose Bay. This is the most spacious pub in the area and is ideal for a large gathering.
