Matcha workshop: Urasenke Sydney Annual Chakai

Do you love matcha, or are you curious about it? Do you want to learn more about its history and culture? Find out more at the Urasenke Sydney Annual Chakai and drink a traditional matcha with trained chado practitioners.

For hundreds of years, Urasenke has been the main tea school associated with matcha preparation. The Sydney chapter of the school has its annual chakai (gathering) at Glebe Town Hall, and you're invited.

The experience includes:

• Chado demonstration
• Workshop - participants can learn how to whisk matcha and taste Japanese sweets
• Wasanbon sweet-making demonstration
• A delicious Japanese bento box for lunch

Cost is $70 + booking fee (tickets through Urasenke)
