It's midwinter, and that's the perfect time to explore the teas of Mount Wuyi, one of the premier tea-growing regions of Fujian province. This exceptional terroir yields tea that's complex and mineral in tone, hence the name 'rock' tea or yancha.

Learn about da hong pao (big red robe), the varietal that tastes like cinnamon, plus the premium lapsangs of Tongmu Village.

This is an appreciation session for people who know the basics and are now ready to take the next step in their tea appreciation journey.

Cost = $30

This event takes places at Cha is Tea Balmain, which is upstairs at the Chinese Herbal Centre. We regret the venue is not accessible to wheelchair users. There are three parking spaces on-site; please indicate if you need one after RSVPing.
