Building micro-services using .NET and WCF

Details

But WCF is dead, all the cool kids are using REST to build their micro-services right? Leveraging the insight of the master architects at IDesign including Juval Lowy one of the originators of the micro-service movement, learn just why WCF remains at the forefront of building modern micro-service based systems and what the future holds for the industry.

Instead of accepting what the masses are telling us we'll look at what the true masters of building distributed systems are actually doing, i.e. the cloud builders.

While I'll start with some of the concepts, we'll get hands on code in this session as I show you some practical examples on how best to leverage WCF to write micro-services. In particular I'll show you how a little elbow grease can make WCF trivial to use for your devs removing much of the configuration pain.

Feel free to hang around afterwards to have a chat and drink a few beers graciously provided by our hosts Adslot.
