This event is for beginner/junior level players. We welcome all players but this is specifically designed for newer players

Come out for a fun night of recreational tennis.

1. We are a casual, non-competitive, laid-back fun group.
2. If there is ever a cancellation, delay, bad weather, or relocation to another court, please see the comments section for updates.
3. Don't know how to play? No racket? No worries! We'll explain the basics and the host has a racket you can borrow
4. We aren’t here to win a major league contract, just get exercise, have fun, and socialize. We play like we have to be at work in the morning :)

💪Beginners Events: When you attend beginners tennis events please be mindful of the level at which you intend to play. These events are meant to be fun and enjoyable and an opportunity for beginner tennis players to learn and grow. We don’t want new tennis players to feel discouraged when they’re coming across players that are engaging with them at a more competitive level at these beginner events. If you feel the need to play more competitively please consider attending the intermediate tennis events instead.

This event is open to all members and takes place Friday night.

Join us Friday night for a fast-paced game of ultimate frisbee! It’s a coed, non-contact sport that combines throwing, catching, and plenty of running — a great way to get outside and stay active.

If fewer than 8 people are signed up, the game will be canceled.
We’ll make the call about cancellations about 3 hours before game time.

Things to know:

1. All skill levels are welcome, from first-timers to seasoned players. Just be ready for a workout — the game moves quickly and requires a reasonable level of fitness. Please know your limits and play safely.
2. We play hard but keep it fun. The goal is good competition, lots of touches, and an enjoyable game for everyone on the field.
3. If there is ever a cancellation, delay, bad weather, or relocation to another field, please see the comments section for updates.

5. Per the Parks Department, dogs must be leashed at all-times with their owner, so we encourage you to leave your furry friends at home.

This is a spinoff/additional group to the Tampa Bay Sports and Socials Tuesday Night Pickleball Beginners Group.

This repeating meetup group is focused around skills and competition.

Hosted by Matt. Looking for a Co-host to lead the first Sat. of every month.

Depending on Court Availability at Skyview Park ( 2 courts)

Default is Play to Win on Court 1

Court 2 (When Available) for Skills (Serve, Return, Forehand, Backhand, Dink, Spin, Drive, Reset, Volley).

Skill sessions are for us to collaboratively practice skills. Bring a drill suggestion from Pickleball videos on your favorite social media feed!

If we can achieve a regularly attending group of players, Matt is keen on field trips to other courts and venues every other Saturday afternoon.

Matt will provide 2 chairs and some ball inventory, plus 2 beginner (Head - Flash) paddles for use.
Bring: water/hydration...your own paddle(s), a chair if you like, if you want to bring your own balls, that's helpful. Quality outdoor balls are a great investment in the game!
Discussion topics: Gear, etiquette, skills.

What: Ultimate frisbee pickup on grass, bring a white and a dark shirt, some people wear cleats, some people play barefoot, bring sunscreen and water, we pick teams and play to 7, and we usually have anywhere from 5-5 to 7-7 with a sub or 2.

Who: Anyone and everyone, skill levels from beginner to expert

Why: Get some good exercise and have some fun at the most beautiful pickup location in St Pete :)
