What we’re about
### What If Your Symptoms Aren’t “All in Your Head”?
Fatigue, brain fog, gut issues — and no clear answers? It might not be you. It might be your biology out of balance.
Welcome to Tauranga Health Talks: Beyond Symptoms, Into Solutions — a community event series that explores the hidden drivers behind chronic symptoms, and what you can do to reclaim your health.
From hormone havoc to gut dysfunction, from toxic stress to toxic load — we’ll look at the whole picture. Because in functional medicine, symptoms are signals — not something to silence, but something to understand.
Led by Dr. Stephan Neff — a functional medicine doctor, former pain specialist, and host of Root Cause Revolution — this series asks the questions most doctors don’t:
- Could your chronic fatigue be a sign of mitochondrial dysfunction — or even mould exposure?
- Is your anxiety being fuelled by gut inflammation or blood sugar crashes?
- Are your child’s behavioural or learning challenges linked to food, sleep, or hidden toxins?
- Could brain fog or burnout be your body’s cry for biochemical balance?
We’ll unpack science-backed insights into topics like:
- Inflammation, gut health, and the microbiome
- Hormone balance across the lifespan
- Nutrient deficiencies even a "healthy diet" can miss
- The subtle stressors that dysregulate your nervous system
- Mold, mycotoxins, plastics — and how to lower your toxic burden
- Real-life tools to support resilience — physically, mentally, emotionally
Each session includes an interactive talk and open Q&A. It’s a safe, welcoming space to learn, connect, ask questions — and feel less alone on your journey back to health.
Whether you're managing ongoing symptoms, supporting a loved one, or just health-curious — you're warmly welcome.
