What we’re about
TechFems started in November 2023 and has quickly grown into a community of over 700 women+ (including trans and non-binary). We are an inclusive community for (aspiring) tech women+ in Barcelona and surrounding area. All our activities are in person in Barcelona. TechFems provides a safe space for women+ to empower each other and grow together. In a sector where women+ are by far the minority, TechFems offers a warm welcome and a supportive community for women and women-identifying people, full of learning, networking, and social activities. The initiative is owned by the community: TechFems is for women+, by women+. If you are a woman(+) working (or studying to work) in the tech sector, or simply interested in knowing more, join us!

About speakers:
Carolina Portugal
Carol is a key member of the Growth team at Kaleidos and Penpot, focusing on strategy, data, and the user experience. With a background in Open Source, she helps shape the future of Penpot by driving user engagement and business growth.
Elena Torró
Elena works as a Software Engineer at Kaleidos and Penpot, and ranges from fixing bugs to developing the new render engine for Penpot. She's a generalist at heart and loves building technical tools that others can use, which has led her to work on different SaaS technical products during her career.About our host Runroom:
