💫 Making Time for Mindful Movement

Celebrate the movement that works for you.

It doesn’t matter if you’re running a mile, doing five minutes of yoga, dancing in your kitchen, or walking to the end of the street and back — it all counts. This isn’t about fitness goals or perfect routines; it’s about honoring our ADHD brains and bodies through movement, mindfulness, and self-compassion.

Research shows that movement supports ADHDers in all the best ways — helping regulate emotions, boost focus, improve sleep, and deliver that much-needed dopamine. But knowing it helps doesn’t always make it easy to do. That’s why this series exists.

Each Making Time for Mindful Movement event is a gentle accountability check-in, not a live session. Move whenever it works for you — morning, afternoon, or night — then share a quick photo, comment, or reflection with the group. Whether you’re celebrating a long hike, a dance break, or a quick stretch between Zoom calls, your effort counts.

🌿 How to Participate

  1. Choose how you want to move — any activity that feels good for your body and brain.
  2. Move mindfully — tune in to how you feel before, during, and after.
  3. Share your win — post a photo, comment, or reflection in the Meetup chat. It’s about connection, not comparison.
  4. Celebrate yourself — every bit of movement counts.

This is about creating space — not pressure — for mindful, intentional movement and recognizing every effort as a win. It’s your reminder to move in whatever way feels right for you, at your own pace, in your own way. 💛
