Join us for our challenging book club to discuss the first section of The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer.

Jeremy recommends the Penguin translation by Nevill Coghill. We intend to read it in three sections of around 160 pages each.

In this first meeting, we will be discussing:

The General Prologue*
The Knight's Tale*
The Miller*
The Reeve*
The Cook
The Man of Law
The Shipman

If you are not able to read all of this, please focus your efforts on the asterisked ones*.

Please feel free to link to any useful sites below in the comments.

We have decided to move this event to a Saturday as we enjoyed meeting during daylight hours last time. I hope you can make the new time!

Location - The Folk House Cafe on Park Street. I have resserved a table for us.

The Folk House serves food (including their amazing cheese toasties), healthy salads and stews, cake, tea, coffee, soft drinks and alcohol. Please at least buy a drink to support the venue. I will be having lunch here as it's healthy, yummy and budget friendly.
