Let’s celebrate the end of a great year of table tennis together! It’ll be a fun, relaxed session with games, prizes, and a bit of cake to finish the year in style.
This event is all about enjoyment and friendly matches — whether you win or not, there’ll be plenty of laughter and treats for everyone!
Hope you can all join — it won’t be the same without you!
Game Time: 11:00 – 13:55 (2 hours 55 minutes) — please arrive 15 minutes early for the draw. If you arrive late, you may miss some of the games. We will start the games from 11:00 am.
- Coffee & Cake: From 14:00 onwards. If you want to buy lunch in the coffee shop please order it before 11:00. Note: the café doesn't take cash payments.
- The cost is £3.00 per person, payable in cash to myself on the day (exact money, if possible, please).
Who Can Attend: Open to members who have attended at least 3 sessions of our regular table tennis this year.
Games
- Singles Competition
- Doubles Competition (mixed pairs — we’ll pair up without regard to gender)
- “Shake & Drop” – drop the ball through a hole in a box
- Bat Knockdown Challenge
- Team Relay – balance the ball on two bats
Medals: Gold and Silver only. If you win more than two prizes, you will only receive your top two. Your third prize will be awarded to the next best player.
How to Join the Games
Please choose which games you’d like to take part in and post your choices here using the numbers only.
Example: If you want to join all the games, type 1–5. This sign-up will close on 19th November at 8:00 am.
Please bring some snacks and water, as we’ll have about 3 hours of activities. Also, please make sure you are feeling well and fit to join the games.
I book and pay in advance so please change your RSVP status at least 24 hours before the event if you’re unable to come along. This will give people on the waitlist sufficient notice or to allow me to increase the cost of the session to meet the overheads. If you fail to give sufficient notice of non attendance you will be expected to pay the next time you attend. If you fail to turn up 3 times without changing your RSVP in a timely manner you will be barred from this event.
This event is run by a volunteer and amateur. It is run on a best-effort, not for profit basis. You join this event on the basis that you are responsible for your own health and safety. Pease be aware that during school holidays the centre runs children's holiday camps in the other half of the sports hall and this inevitably leads to a lot of noise which can be distracting.
