What we’re about

Welcome! Creative House of Lancaster (CHL) connects artists, designers, makers, musicians, writers, and dreamers across all disciplines. We're a community built on collaboration, mentorship, and creative exchange, where bold ideas flourish and local talent thrives.

Through meetups, networking events, and partnerships with local organizations, CHL champions the growth of Lancaster's creative professionals, supporting both personal and professional development. We believe in fostering fair trade, teamwork, and open communication while nurturing a genuine sense of belonging.

Whether you're looking to expand your network, find collaborators, or simply be part of something bigger, CHL is your home base for creative connection.

Our History
Founded in 2006 by Anne Kirby, Creative House of Lancaster began as a grassroots initiative born from a simple need: creative professionals wanting to connect. Designers, artists, writers, and makers came together to learn from and support one another.

When The Candy Factory coworking space opened in 2010, CHL found a natural home there, continuing its mission to build community and strengthen Lancaster's creative ecosystem.

Today, CHL operates as a project of The Candy Factory, and we're excited to revisit our roots—reintroducing CHL as a vibrant space where Lancaster's creative community can connect, collaborate, and thrive together.

Join us, and be a part of Lancaster's creative movement.

The Creative House is a project of The Candy Factory, a coworking + social club located in the heart of Lancaster, PA.

Our History: Founded by Anne Kirby, creator of The Candy Factory (TCF), the Creative House of Lancaster began as a grassroots project designed to foster collaboration among creative professionals — connecting designers, artists, writers, and makers who wanted to learn from and support one another.

When The Candy Factory opened in 2010, CHL was brought under its umbrella, continuing its mission to build community and strengthen Lancaster’s creative ecosystem.

The Candy Factory (TCF) continues the original mission of Creative House of Lancaster (CHL). As we expand and open more of our programming to the public, we’re excited to revisit CHL’s roots and reintroduce it as a vibrant space where Lancaster’s creative community can connect, collaborate, and thrive together.
