- meeting people at university is a great way to make new friends
- for people who don't really want a degree or to necessarily learn anything but want interesting ways to meet new people
- this is a fake 'university' with fake classes where you might learn some real things (but you don't have to) - a cross between a class & a book club
- the class will run with a minimum of 2 registrations
- the class will be run by the event host, Jacqueline Mikulic
The textbook for this class is titled "Bananas. An American History" (by Virginia Scott Jenkins). You do not have to purchase a copy of the book. We will be starting this first class on Chapter 1 - 'Introducing Bananas'.
- The structure of the class will be as follows:
10 mins - introducing & meeting each other
10 mins - reading/'learning' from the class textbook
10 mins - group activity based on class textbook
- there are no real assessments or marks given for this course and you do not receive any certificates for completing any material (there is also no homework).
where - Richmond Library meeting room (Level 2 of library)
who is it for - anyone 18 years and over
