About us
Calling all Glaswegian nerds and geeks!
We're looking to hold a monthly get together in Glasgow for like-minded individuals who enjoy all things geeky - Sci-fi, Doctor Who, Star Trek (and Wars!), Harry Potter, Marvel, DC, anime, cosplay, comics, board games etc.
The idea is to meet up, have a drink or two, get to know each other and make some new friends in and around the city.
We also have a Matrix chat room at #geek:glasgow.social (you can join with this invite link: https://glasgow.social/matrix). There are rooms there for board games, gigs, poker, star trek, D&D, tech and all sorts of other interests.
Follow us on the Fediverse/Mastodon at https://glasgow.social/tags/geeksocial (Don't know what that is? It's open source decentralised social media - no corporations involved! Sign up at https://glasgow.social - or any other site - it's all interconnected - like the internet should be!)

Tabletop RPG Event (Various systems being played) New Players and DMs welcome
The Gamer Club, 153 Bath Lane, Glasgow, GBThere will be at least 2 tables where a Games Master (GM) will take you through a 3-4 hour adventure.
Additional tables can be set up if enough GMs and players.
Each table will have dice, pens/pencils, paper, and a selection of pre-made characters.
All tables are beginner-friendly, and any player who has never played Dungeons & Dragons/TTRPG before should speak to the GM before the game starts.
All you are required to bring is yourself and your imagination, as a world of adventure awaits you.
The venue isn't licensed, but feel free to bring your own beer/wine or help yourself to tea and coffee from the kitchen. Other snacks and drinks require a donation.

Queer Board Games Night (LGBTQ+ 🏳️🌈)
The Gamer Club, 153 Bath Lane, Glasgow, GBWe’re looking forward to a relaxed, welcoming night of board games and good company.
Keeping things simple starting with introductions, then seeing what people fancy playing.
There are plenty of games available at the venue, so we’ll have lots to choose from.
No pressure, no rigid plan, just a friendly space to meet people, play some games, and see where the night takes us.
Cross hosting with Queer Glasgow & Glasgow Lesbian Scene, so there may be a few new faces but I’m sure we’ll all get along great.
