Pomona to Pine Meadow Lake - 6+ Miles

The loop begins with a steep ascent at Rebellious Stables and reaches the Eastern edge of Pine Meadow Lake before returning via Catamount Mountain. The hike will take us through the dramatic terrain and serene woodland trails typical of Harriman State Park, and features multiple stream crossings, some minor scrambles, and several lookout points. The hike is rated moderate-to-strenuous, with an elevation gain of around 1400 ft. This hike is not recommended for beginners. Please read parking instructions carefully (no parking on the grounds of Rebellious Stables!). No facilities.

Bring plenty of water and snacks, and appropriate seasonal items (sun- and insect-protection in summer, and crampons in winter). Day-of-hike-only phone: 973-704-7362.
**Note** We hike at a moderate pace, and never leave anyone behind. Our hikes are not suitable for fast hikers who like to forge ahead of the group.
