Bull Bridge to Tenmile Hill, Waterfalls, River Views, AT Shelter + Lunch after

Join us for a New Adventure Hike! 🌊⛰️

This hike will take us through some of the most majestic waterfalls in Connecticut, along the scenic Housatonic River cliffs, past converging rivers, and up to stunning peak viewpoints.

We’ll also stop by an Appalachian Trail shelter, where thru-hikers rest during bad weather and overnight stays—a fun glimpse into the AT long-distance hiking experience.

📍 Hike Details:

• Distance: ~6 miles
• Elevation gain: ~1,000 ft.
• Difficulty: Moderate (B+) due to a steep 600 ft. climb over 0.5 miles to the top of Tenmile Hill.
  We will move at a conversational pace of -2.5 mph , with plenty of breaks for water, snacks and catching our breath.

⚠️ Not recommended for beginners.

🧭 What to Bring:

• Plenty of water and snacks
• Waterproof boots and clothing
• Hiking poles (recommended)
• Warm layers (no cotton—helps prevent hypothermia)
• A positive, adventurous spirit!

🍴 After the hike, join us for an optional group lunch at a nearby restaurant in Kent.

We kindly ask for a small contribution of $3 per hike or $15 per year to help cover our Meetup fees.
