Daylesford in winter

For those of you who have been with this group for a few years may know that we ran this event in 2021. I remember quite fondly how we enjoyed the day. So instead of reinventing the wheel, we will run the same event again, but in July this time.

Lets spend a day enjoying the beautiful country town of Daylesford located in the Goldfields Regions, an hours drive north west of Melbourne.

From the moment you arrive you will find the breathtaking views and laid back atmosphere to be like nothing you have ever experienced before.
No matter the season, the beauty of the landscape will delight your senses and ignite your desire to explore further.

DRAFT SCHEDULE
10.00am Meet at the Convent Gallery for welcome and introduction
10.15 to 11.45 - The plan is to start the day at the Convent Gallery widely regarded as ‘the most beautiful gallery in Australia’, the Convent Gallery presents local, national and international artists working in a variety of media and styles. Entry into the Galleries is $10 or you can wander around the surrounds for free

11.45 to 12.45 - Next we can explore the surrounding Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens a very beautiful and historic place

12.45 to 2.00 - Lunch at Daylesford (TBA)

2.15 to 3.45 - Afterwards we can wander along Vincent Street in the heart of Daylesford with it's abundance of historic buildings (Town Hall, Post Office & Hotel Frangos) and interesting shops.

3.45 to 5.30 - Last stop for the day is the picturesque Lake Daylesford with its wonderful colors, reflections and scenic panoramas. Park at Lake Daylesford at 2 Leggett Street. You can walk completely around the Lake with great views opposite the Boathouse Cafe
