Blood on the Clocktower [Social Deduction Game]

Join us for Blood on the Clocktower! This is a popular social deduction game full of lies, logic, and deception. Players will randomly be given a good or evil role, each with a unique ability. This game is similar to Werewolf or Mafia, except it's even more expansive!

We will have 3 simultaneous games running. The plan is as follows (potentially subject to change):

• Beginner game: aimed at new players or people who want to play a simpler script. The script will be Trouble Brewing (or BMR/S&V)
• Intermediate game: aimed at people who want to play a moderately complex script. The script will be Bad Moon Rising, Sects & Violets, or a simpler custom script
• Advanced game: aimed at people who want to play a more complex script. The script will include experimental characters (and potentially Fabled) and might be completely homebrew

These are not hard guidelines. You are welcome to join whichever game you'd like!

We will select the script for each group to maximize the group's enjoyment. We may or may not play the scripts listed above - whatever the group feels like playing.

Things to know about this event:

• This game involves deception, communication, and piecing together information, some of which may be false. You will either be trying to deceive the other players, or figure out which players are trying to deceive you.
• The game length is variable depending on a variety of factors, but a typical game lasts somewhere between 1 to 2 hours.
• Parking in the garage underneath the Lincoln Square South tower is free as long as you leave after 8pm.

RSVP & WAITLIST POLICY

RSVPs for this event open at 11pm on the Tuesday before the event.

If the event is full and you sign up, you will be put on the waitlist. If you are on the waitlist it means you are not attending the event. Every time someone cancels their RSVP, you move up 1 spot on the waitlist. If you are 1st on the waitlist and someone cancels, then you will be attending the event. This also means people higher on the waitlist have priority over people lower on the waitlist.

STORYTELLING OPPORTUNITIES

We are always looking for more people who can storytell! Storytelling Blood on the Clocktower is a great experience because you have many opportunities to make decisions that make the games close and interesting! If you'd like to learn how to storytell, please let one of the organizers know and we'd be more than happy to help.

Note: the last two links are for Trouble Brewing specifically. That is the simplest script but there is a chance we may play with a different script at the event. They still give you a good idea of what to expect.
