Wild Food, Survival Skills Discussion Social

Details
We learn so much information from other hikers' experiences. Why not get together and share our expertise and knowledge over dinner, drinks and live bluegrass music?
Bring your favorite gear, pictures or books to share hiking and survival skills with others. You do not need to be an expert to share. Everyone brings something to the table. I'm a decent amateur mushroom hunter for lobsters and chanterelles. I've met hikers with extensive knowledge of edible wild plants, natural medicine, trail/wilderness first aid and other vital knowledge for anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures.
We'll meet at 6pm at McMenamins Rock Creek Tavern on NW Old Cornelius Pass Road in Hillsboro. Meet upstairs by the pool table. At 7pm local musicians play live bluegrass music there but the music is not too loud to continue our discussion.
This should be a chill meeting with other hikers at a relaxing location and not an expert-level class. Feel free to show up later or leave early if you need to, depending on your work/life schedule.
CARPOOLING: No planned carpool. Coordinate in comments section if you need a ride or live in the same area as another person attending this event.
What to bring:
- Money for dinner/drinks (separate checks)
- Gear that you recommend for survival skills or overnight backpacking
- Anything else you want to share with others
• The 10 essentials for hikes. Here is the link.

If you are on the going list, and decide to cancel, please change your RSVP to "Not going" ASAP. We are starting with only 10 available spots. Please don't take a spot from someone else and then not attend the event.
