Ever wanted to attend a carnival parade? There's a small but fun one here.
We'll meet on the parade route about 6:00 at the Rambler. Costumes and fancy dress are highly encouraged.

7:00 PM Parade Rolls – Starts at corner of N. Albina Avenue & Humboldt Street. Parade ends - Corner of N. Fremont St. & Mississippi Avenue
The parade should last about an hour. Those who choose can Second Line (follow behind the parade) to the end where there will be live music at a free street party at Mississippi and Cook St. Parade bands will be playing for about an hour. Restaurants and bars on Mississippi will have music as well.

Participants are encouraged to dress up as much as they like. Go simple with a colorful boa or scarf, a mask, makeup, a WIG. Any clothing in purple, green or gold will suffice. Go big with a favorite costume or thrift store find. Shop in the back of your closet and find a hat to decorate or an old band uniform jacket. Be creative and resourceful.

This event will not be especially structured. We are just meeting up to hang out together. Participants are expected to be self sufficient, responsible for their own safety and able to navigate to and from the parade independently. It’s a nighttime parade so join in the fun and wear lights! We encourage parade viewers to wear or carry lights to add to the festivity and Mardi Gras joie de vivre.

Parking will be difficult. Be prepared to walk and don't forget where you parked. Public Transit https://trimet.org/home/planner
