Have you ever reacted more strongly than you wanted to…
and afterwards wondered:
“Why did that affect me so much?”
Sometimes it’s not really about the small thing itself.
A comment, a tone of voice, feeling ignored, criticised, rejected, unheard or disconnected can sometimes trigger emotions that feel much bigger underneath the surface.
You may notice yourself:

  • overthinking conversations
  • becoming emotionally overwhelmed
  • shutting down or withdrawing
  • feeling anxious, hurt or reactive
  • struggling to let things go
  • reacting strongly even when part of you knows it may not match the situation

In this Meetup, we’ll explore why emotional triggers happen and how our subconscious mind, nervous system responses, past experiences and emotional conditioning can all influence the way we respond today.
This is not about blame or judgement.
It’s about developing deeper awareness, understanding yourself with more compassion and beginning to recognise the patterns underneath emotional reactions.

✨ In this session, we’ll explore:

  • Why certain situations trigger strong emotional responses
  • The connection between triggers, past experiences and the subconscious mind
  • Nervous system responses such as fight, flight, freeze and shutdown
  • Why some emotions can feel difficult to regulate
  • The role of emotional conditioning and attachment patterns
  • Why we can feel “too sensitive” or emotionally overwhelmed
  • Small ways to begin responding differently and creating more emotional awareness

This session is for anyone who:

  • feels emotionally reactive or overwhelmed at times
  • struggles with overthinking or emotional triggers
  • notices patterns in relationships or communication
  • wants to better understand themselves and their emotional responses
  • is interested in personal growth, healing and self-awareness

✨ What you’ll walk away with:

  • A deeper understanding of why emotional triggers happen
  • Greater awareness around your own emotional patterns
  • Insight into how the nervous system and subconscious mind influence reactions
  • Practical reflections and tools to begin responding differently
  • Reassurance that you are not “broken” for reacting the way you do

This will be a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to reflect, learn and connect with others experiencing similar challenges.

I cant wait to connect with you.
