Amanda V.: The strange absence of Kanban in Australia - and what to do about it

Details
Back in 2017, Australia was primarily focused on SAFe and Spotify implementations, while The Kanban Method received little attention. As I anticipated, seven years later, these frameworks have failed to deliver results proportional to their investments. Meanwhile, Kanban remains an underappreciated gem, with many companies still struggling to deliver efficiently.
Join this Kanban Meetup if you're curious about introducing Kanban, even in environments with limited initial interest. I’ll share insights from 14 years of experience implementing Kanban across organizations of all sizes and industries.
Bio Amanda Varella:
After working with Kanban for seven years in Brazil, Amanda relocated to Australia in 2017 to assist with Agile transformations. To her surprise, Kanban was nearly absent in these efforts. At the time, there was only a single documented case and a handful of trainings, led by the only two trainers in the entire country. While still in Brazil, in 2014, Amanda won the Brickell Key Award for the first adoption of Kanban at scale in the country. She became the first female Kanban trainer in both Australia and Brazil. After a career in consulting and training, Amanda returned to engineering leadership, working at scale-ups like Envato by Shutterstock, 99designs by Vista, and Canva. Her 14 years of experience with Kanban helped her succeed in every company, transforming the teams under her leadership into high-performance teams.
