The Urban-Woods Initiative helps introduce black, indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC) to ornithology, hobby birdwatching, and bird-habitat conservation. The organization hosts regular nature/birdwatching walks as well as ornithology research sessions.

The BIPOC Birding Walks are free to join! No experience required! Rain or shine!If you’ve ever been interested in learning about bird-watching or participating in nature walks, please come join us. Bring your own binoculars if you have a pair. I’ll be bringing a few extra pairs, and if there aren’t enough, we can all share.
