Long exposure night photography

The plan is to meet at the back of the Gold Coast Arts Centre (HOTA) at 6.15pm and take photos of the Surfers Paradise skyline (cityscape). Just after it gets dark should give us ideal conditions. Obviously bring a tripod. It can also be a good idea to bring some insect repellent and a torch.

Once it is dark the settings in manual mode I will try is an f11 aperture and a trial and error setting for the shutter speed (with ISO set at the lowest setting on my camera). At around dusk some of you who own ND filters might want to use them. As usual, please make a $3 contribution; it goes toward the cost of the website.
