Hi everyone!

This month we are mixing it up with a slightly different event format. The May event is all about hearing from some great Melbourne startups on what they are doing, and why they rock....via a pitch!

This remains a free event, with pizza and beer provided.

WHY PITCH?

We want 5 awesome Melbourne startups to get up in front of the crowd and deliver a 6 minute pitch on their company. Why would you do it?

Because we are putting together some awesome prizes for EVERYONE that pitches, including coffee meetings with Melbourne investors and founders. Plus, you get to share your idea with 300 fellow entrepreneurs.

We will also have a panel of experienced entrepreneurs/investors there to give you feedback on the night (friendly Q&A).

WHY WATCH?

Not only will you hear from 5 great startups who are looking to change the world, but judging the pitches will be a panel of experienced VC's and investors. You will be able to hear the feedback session given to each founder, and have the opportunity to ask questions of the panel on what makes a great pitch.

Plus, there will be a crowd voting system where you can vote for your favourite pitch of the night.

HOW TO APPLY?

Send an email to scott@attendly.com with your company name, what you do, a copy of your deck if you have it, your stage of company life cycle (i.e. launched, not launched, funded, not funded, looking for money, not looking for money, etc etc). Let us know if you have pitching experience, and what that consists of...or if this is your first time.

WHAT ELSE?

Lightning talks!

This month, there is one slot available for a startup founder to deliver a short (5 minutes or less) talk on their pitching experience. There are only 3 rules:

The talk must be 5 minutes or less. It should be loosely based around the theme of the night (pitching) Focus on 1 thing and 1 thing only. Teach us about that. If this sounds up your alley and you would like to share your experience with the crowd, send an email pitch to scott@attendly.com with your talk idea.
Just a paragraph will be fine.

Date and time:

Monday 27th May at 630pm

Location: Inspire9
