This tour will cover the history of Michael Collins. The 1922 handover as it really happened, Collins roles as soldier and spy, his involvement in the 1916 Easter Rising, his internment at Frongoch the Anglo-Irish Treaty negotiations, the War of Independance, the Dublin Castle spy network the Squad and other key events like Bloody Sunday and the murder of McKee, Clancy, and Clune. This event has a different topic each time and includes a variety of interactive exercises. It's an engaging and creative way to express ourselves, and connect with how others think, feel and deal with life. We will aim to provide a supportive and sate environment and open up about our lives freely. A lot of times we don't talk about what we are really going through because we are worried of what people might think of us. This causes us to bottle things up, feel disconnected with the people around us or feel ashamed of ourselves. The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education.
