Hi all, sorry I've been MIA! Does anyone want to have a sit at Woodbine beach?! The event will take about 1.5-2 hours. We practice for 40 minutes and then go for a walk along the beach. Please bring a mat/blanket to sit on and warm clothes. Weather forecast looks like it'll be around 5-10 degrees. If anyone needs a ride to Woodbine, I can pick you up at Queen and Bay or Union station and Bay around 7AM. I have 4 seats available. I'd like us to sit at the far east side of Woodbine. We'll begin with a 20 minute breathwork session followed by a 15 minute meditation. For the breathwork, I'll play a youtube video by Breathe with Sandy on a speaker for everyone to follow along (https://youtu.be/xwoQJe1e9m0?si=HCfaZvz7n0xlW3XU) and provide additional instructions that aren't in the video. I find that breathwork is much better done on an empty stomach, so I'd recommend that if you do eat, eat at least 2-3 hours before arriving. After our group breathwork session, we'll have an open discussion on spirituality. What's been on my mind is how feeling and embodiment are foundational to spirituality, and that learning to notice and discern the language of our bodies is part of the path towards wholeness. Practices are a way to discern and attune to the language of our bodies.

A simple way to meet new people and spend a relaxed Saturday morning outdoors. This is a new, small meetup series — first walks are now starting. We’ll meet just outside the main entrance of Rosedale Subway Station at street level (I’ll be standing near the exit and easy to spot), and walk through Rosedale onto the ravine trails toward Evergreen Brick Works, finishing with coffee and conversation. The format is simple — just a walk, fresh air, and easy conversation. Most people come on their own, so you’ll likely not be the only new face. It’s a smaller group by design, which makes it easier to talk and connect without it feeling overwhelming. Conversations can stay light or go a bit deeper depending on what feels natural — there’s no agenda or structure. **Timing** • Meet: 11:00–11:15am at Rosedale Station • Walk: \~40 minutes at an easy pace • Coffee: around midday at Brick Works You’re welcome to join for the full walk or meet us at the café. If you’re running late, feel free to join us along the route or meet at the café. Well, Wine Fest is back this Spring over the May long weekend. 2 for 1 pricing goes on sale beginning March 10th ($46/2) and will go up in price later on. Well we can’t save the world (yet), but we aim to try to play a small part in the lives of those experiencing homelessness by making their day a bit better!
Description: Before the event the organizer will post a list in the comment section of the attendees and what they are responsible to bring (food/drink, kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies). We normally ask each attending member to bring approximately $15-20 worth of ingredients/supplies to our event. We will use the items to prepare and serve food/drink at The Meeting Place.
Timeline: We will meet on location at 11:00 am, with lunch served between 12:30-1:00 pm.
Membership Dues: Membership dues are $2.00 for the calendar year. Membership dues go towards paying for food/supplies incurred by no-shows. Membership dues are due at the first meetup of the year that you attend.
No Shows/Late Un-RSVP: We’re relying on members who RSVP to bring key ingredients for recipes! Please try your best to show-up or alternatively change your RSVP early so another member may fill the empty spot.
