Meditation and Discussion Group: The Laws of the Universe
Meditation and Discussion Group: The Laws of the Universe
Join Stephen Fiyalko, President of the Melbourne Theosophical Society for meditation, self attunement, study and discussion on the Laws of the Universe. We welcome all to join at 5:30pm for a 30 min Meditation and will begin the discussion group at 6:00pm. For those who prefer to just attend the discussion group you're welcome to arrive at 6pm. An understanding of and action within the Laws through our choices give practical tools for facing, managing and surmounting with confidence the many challenges we face in our daily lives, in society and the world itself. Ignorance of the Laws can leave us adrift to be buffeted and feel overwhelmed by stormy seas. Each week will look at one of the twelve Laws which are principles, not rules, seeking a deeper understanding of that Law, our and their inter-relationship with the other Laws. Discussion will involve sharing stories from our lives which contribute to a growing understanding and confidence in our lives. Each session is free, but contributions are welcome.

Dinner @ The Garden (of Good & Evil)
Dinner @ The Garden (of Good & Evil)
Located in Cheltenham, The Garden is an intimate tapas & wine bar perfect for your next night out. The Garden of Good & Evil opened in April 2014 and is located on Station Road in bayside Cheltenham. Whether it's a casual catch up with mates on a Sunday afternoon, family celebrations, drinks after work or a romantic dinner for two, we do it all.. Boasting a vast selection of unique cocktails, boutique beers, local wines & seasonal tapas, The Garden will not disappoint. Step through the doors and you’ll feel you’re anywhere but suburban Melbourne. Drink in hand, grab a seat along the brick wall or head towards the back of the dining room, where you'll find the entrance to the garden. More intimate than your regular beer garden, it's comfortable even during the winter months. The menu is Spanish influenced, borrowing here and there from Southern American and Mexican cuisine, too. If you're after something sweet, look no further than the churros with caramelised condensed milk. Here is a copy of the menu. [https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5b28bfeff79392c249d37e8a/t/6372c5bc876e2b486ceea90d/1668466111603/GGE+Food+Menu+V7+NOV+2022+copy.pdf](https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5b28bfeff79392c249d37e8a/t/6372c5bc876e2b486ceea90d/1668466111603/GGE+Food+Menu+V7+NOV+2022+copy.pdf) Table booked under Andrew (Goodwin) and my number is 0424453134 if anybody needs to contact me. Meeting our Protectors: Inner Critics, People Pleasers, & Perfectionists
Meeting our Protectors: Inner Critics, People Pleasers, & Perfectionists
Internal Family Systems is a therapeutic approach that understands we are made up of many parts. Some are playful, creative or vulnerable. Others step in as protectors, who have developed to protect us at some point in our lives from pain, rejection or abandonment. These protectors might show up as: * the inner critic * the people-pleaser * the perfectionist * the controller * the caretaker * the rebel In this session, we will learn more about what IFS is. We will map some of the most common protector parts, focus in on one or two, and explore creative exercises to represent and/or dialogue with these parts. There will be an optional sharing to close. The duration of the workshop will be between 1.5 and 2h depending on the number of attendees. If you are facing financial stress, please type 'Concession' as a promo code for a discounted price of $25. If this is still difficult, please reach out. I am happy to make arrangements, and no one will be turned away. Contact me at [greenhouse.arttherapy@gmail.com](http://greenhouse.arttherapy@gmail.com/) **Please note:** This workshop introduces IFS-informed Art Therapy as a practice, but is not intended to replace individual or group therapy, which involves a deeper exploration of our histories, intentional collaboration and the building of a therapeutic relationship. I am certified IFS-informed but I do not have Level 1 IFS certification yet (though I will begin that soon). This workshop is also not intended for emergency crisis support or intervention. * If you are comfortable with me taking photos of you and/or your artwork for learning and supervision purposes, and to offer others a sense of what the workshop is like, please let me know at the start of the session. Your participation would be greatly appreciated!
