š #InPursuit ā A Book Club for Builders, Thinkers, and Doers
š #InPursuit is a book club for entrepreneurs, creatives, and curious minds who know personal growth fuels business growth.
See a lot of RSPVPs and wonder how it works? We'll break up into groups of 6-8 to share our insights, then swap groups after 30-45min so you can maximise learning from everybody!
Note: this even is not organised by or affiliated with The State Library of Victoria
That's what #InPursuit is all about Itās not a traditional book club, itās a space for people who are actively designing a better life through the pursuit of business, creativity, and personal growth.
This event is for anyone #InPursuit of better business, life and relationships. Instead of reading the same book, we each come prepared to share one powerful insight from something weāve read in the past 3-months. Anything non-fiction thatās moved us forward.
Whether itās a mindset shift, a productivity system, a new philosophy, or just a truth that punched us in the gut. This is a place to unpack it together and hear what others are learning too.
Weāre not just here to read. Weāre here to integrate. Because when we grow, our business and our lives grow too.
š Why Join? You'll leave with:
*- 5ā10 fresh insights from books you may never have picked up*
*⢠Deeper awareness of how others think, lead, and evolve*
New connections with people walking a similar path toward purpose, results, and impact This isnāt a lecture. Itās a room full of people building themselves while they build the thing.
š How It Works First time?
No pressure to share, just come curious. We'll break up into groups of 6-8 and share our insights, then swap groups so you can maximise the learning! Returning? Bring one idea youāve read about in the last 3-months and be ready to speak on:
1. What did you learn?
2. How did it shift your perspective about the world or yourself?
3. How has it changed the way you show up or behave?
We keep it structured, but flexible. After sharing, we open up to Q&A, personal stories, challenges, and deep dives. Some of the best insights come from the conversations *after* the share.
š§ Who This Is For
⢠Entrepreneurs or side-hustlers finding their footing *Business owners, and doers building toward better*
*⢠Curious minds who love ideas but care more about action*
People tired of shallow conversations and hungry for growth If youāre working on somethingāor becoming someoneāthis space is for you. Itās a practice ground for people who want to grow forward.
Weāre all #InPursuit of mastery, momentum, and the kind of success that starts from within.

FLOW IN GROUP CONVERSATIONS IF YOU PROCRASTINATE
# š *Breat Procrastination and Staring at The Crowd When at Social Events with Taking a Minimum Viable Step!*
Do you want to feel confident stepping into group conversations, knowing exactly what to say, when to say it, and how to build momentum naturally?
Do you want a clear structure that makes socialising feel *doable*, while still allowing real, organic, human connection?
This session blends **structure with spontaneity**, so you can practise social confidence in a way that actually works for your brain.
***
# š¬ **WHAT THIS SESSION IS ABOUT**
This is a **guided practice lab** for group interaction.
Instead of guessing what to say, you will work with:
⢠specific topics chosen by the group on the day
⢠simple, powerful questions to guide conversation
⢠structured rounds that make it easier to start and continue interactions
You are not performing or ābeing socialā on command, you are learning a **repeatable process** that helps you enter conversations naturally and build depth from there.
The structure gives you clarity.
Your responses stay *real, personal, and fully your own.*
***
# š§ **WHY THIS WORKS**
## *Minimum Viable Steps (MVS)*
Starting conversations is often the hardest part.
So instead of forcing yourself to ābe socialā, we focus on:
### ***Minimum Viable Steps (MVS)***
Small, achievable actions like:
⢠approaching a group
⢠listening for context
⢠asking one simple question
⢠sharing one small response
These steps reduce overwhelm and help you build momentum naturally.
You are not powering through, you are **following a chain of small wins** that lead into flow.
***
# š **HOW THE SESSION RUNS**
This session is structured into **timed rounds (approx. 8 minutes each)**.
Each round gives you a clear, simple objective.
## š¹ *Structured Group Rounds*
⢠You will begin in small groups with a defined topic
⢠Each round includes suggested questions to guide interaction
⢠You are free to respond in your own way, nothing scripted
## š¹ *Rotations*
At the end of each round:
⢠two people rotate out of each group
⢠each joins a different group
This creates:
⢠clarity on where to go next
⢠repeated practice starting new conversations
⢠exposure to different dynamics and people
*No guessing. No awkward hovering. Just clear next steps.*
***
# š” **TOPICS & QUESTIONS**
At the start of the session, we will:
⢠gather topics participants are genuinely interested in
⢠write them down and use them throughout the rounds
Each round will include **simple, open questions** related to the topic, designed to:
⢠spark conversation easily
⢠create direction without rigidity
⢠allow natural sharing and depth
You follow the structure, but what you share is always your own.
***
# š± **WHAT YOU WILL PRACTISE**
⢠starting conversations decisively (again and again)
⢠entering groups with clarity instead of hesitation
⢠listening before contributing
⢠asking simple questions that open conversation
⢠building flow through small, manageable steps
⢠rotating between groups with confidence
⢠staying present without overwhelm
Over time, this becomes **automatic**.
***
# š **BEFORE & AFTER**
At the beginning:
⢠you will complete a short reflection on meaningful connection in your life
At the end:
⢠you will share what worked, what did not, and what could be improved
This helps shape future sessions based on what actually supports you.
***
# š **A NOTE FROM THE FACILITATOR**
This is not about being the most confident person in the room.
It is about learning a structure that helps you:
⢠take action
⢠reduce overwhelm
⢠build real connection step by step
You do not need to get it perfect.
## ***You just need to take the next small step.***
Understanding Our Support Needs (And Each Other's)
Neurodivergent brains come with their own operating manuals ā but most of us were never handed ours. Some of us run hot on sensory input, others stall out on transitions, some need movement to think, others need silence to function. The tricky part is that our needs are often invisible, even to ourselves, until something tips us over.
This month at Neurospicy Bayside, we're slowing down to look at two questions:
* What support do I actually need to feel okay and do my best work?
* What might the people around me need that I've never thought to ask about?
We'll talk about the kinds of accommodations that exist (formal and informal ā at work, at home, in social spaces), share what's worked and what hasn't, and gently map out where each of us tends to struggle. The goal isn't to fix anyone. It's to build a richer vocabulary for our own needs and a more compassionate lens for the people in our lives who might be quietly white-knuckling things we'd never guess.
Bring yourself as you are. Stim, doodle, pace, listen, share as much or as little as feels right. Fidgets and ear defenders welcome. There's no expectation to disclose anything you don't want to.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few.
How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again.
So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that.
Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.

Take Control Of Your Life, Freedom From Negative Thoughts & Irrational Emotions
Feeling down? Sometimes depressed? Can't focus? Negativity & stress? Recent losses? Creativity in career and personal life hindered by mental blocks? Sometimes we never fully recover from traumatic experiences.
Whether it was yesterday, last week or a year ago, traumatic experiences - a loss of a loved one, losing a job, a breakup - can leave you scarred. You talk about it and feel a little better, but it never goes away. After you hang up the phone, it's still there; the sadness, the cloud, the over-thinking, the worry, the guilt. You try to focus, but you're blocked. You try to look forward into new experiences, new relationships but a cloud is hanging over you, casting a shadow on what you once considered a bright, cheerful future.
What happened to your courage? Your strength of character? You're 'why not' attitude? Whoever said 'time heals' must have had a special time machine, because after weeks, months, years, you're wondering - when exactly does that kick in? Sometimes it seems like drinking or drugs are the way to go. But they wear off, and now the problem is still there with added side effects from the drugs.
At this free local Meetup event we will talk about:
* What causes grief, anxiety and depression to become chronic.
* Is it possible to regain your joy and happiness even after traumatic experiences?
* How to break away from negativity and focus on the future
* What are the steps to take to get control of your mind and your emotions?
Learn about a safe, gentle, do-it-yourself counseling that can be done in the comfort of your own home.
Let's explore safe, effective solutions for healing from traumatic experiences.

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation donāt just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.

How do we recover from having had a toxic or narcissistic ex?
How do we move on from the past, especially something as traumatic as a divorce or breakup?

In this meeting, you will learn the mental health secrets to help you
quickly get over the past and heal your mind.

Perhaps you get weighed down with negative emotions you can't seem to shrug off. Or find yourself doing strange and irrational things - not really being yourself. We will cover why that is and tools that work to help you unearth your self, your self-confidence and motivation.
