"Good Vibrancy" Morning Practice (Mindful Movement/Breath-work in the Park)
"Good Vibrancy" Morning Practice (Mindful Movement/Breath-work in the Park)
Good Vibrancy is a simple 45-minute routine for universal love based on the world's great spiritual traditions - adapted to optimise for freedom, abundance and prosperity. It is based on the unique personal practice I have developed doing approximately 1,000 hours of self-directed meditation in recent years (and many more hours of contemplation). \*\*\*\*\* **7.30am: Good Vibrancy (45-min)** The morning routine is done standing up and is a sequence of 6 parts: **1\. Spirit Breathing** \- 5 minutes of moving breath\-work for inspiration \- Balance yin\-yang\, asking\-receiving **2\. Active Sensation** \- 10 minutes of mindful movement for grace \- Develop effortless confidence and presence **3\. Heart Invocation** \- 10 minutes of compassion and gratitude \(\+ optional prayer\) \- Open your heart to giving generously and appreciating what you have **4\. Attentive Release** \- 10 minutes of standing meditation with letting go \- Let your mind settle\, grounding itself in a neutral posture **5\. Life Visualisation** \- 5\-10 minutes visualising the past \(story\) and future \(script\) \- Feel that your past is in fact perfect just as it was and your destined success is drawing you effortlessly in closer each day **6\. Energy Sublimation** \- 5\-10 minutes of energy\-work \- Invoke divine inspiration and connect with your inner king/queen \*\*\*\*\* **8.15am: Quick Coffee/Breakfast at KereKere Green (optional)** At around 8.15am we will finish the practice. Part of the reason for meeting in-real-life in a park as a group is to meet other people and get off the computer screens etc! That's why we invite people to have a quick 15-min coffee and chat at the nearby cafe (KereKere Green). \*\*\*\*\* Our Melbourne community connects in person to do the practice and have brunch on the weekend... \- South Melbourne beach on Saturdays 10am \- Yarra Bend forest on Sundays 10am

Book Review Group - January 2026
Book Review Group - January 2026
Hi all, Welcome to our January book club for our Australian Author focused book club! We are a friendly group of avid readers that enjoy a variety of books and great conversation, over a meal. New members are welcome, but note that spaces are limited. The books for Thursday 15 January 2026 are: **Science Fiction** On the Beach by Neil Shute [On the Beach by Nevil Shute | Goodreads](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/38180.On_the_Beach) **Fantasy** The Etched City by K J Bishop [The Etched City by K.J. Bishop | Goodreads](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/944555.The_Etched_City) **Urban Fantasy** Ghost Electricity by Sean Cunningham [Ghost Electricity (Hawthorn House, #1) by Sean Cunningham | Goodreads](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/45717303-ghost-electricity) You don't have to read all the books. However, the more you read, the more robust the conversation will be with multiple people discussing each book. Don't forget to bring along some Sci-fi, Fantasy and Urban Fantasy suggestions for the following meet-up! If you would like to see all the books (excluding bonus books) that we have read before, click [here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1K96OI_w3AIBzkDVWXenQNc6mYbZ2cMvfRnzVehkp9Bo/edit#gid=0) to have a look. Since there are so many authors out there, we try not to repeat authors, however, I am relaxing this slightly moving forward. If you are new(ish) to the group, check out the back catalogue for some inspiration if you are stuck for something to read. Numbers are limited. If you can’t make it, please change your RSVP to a NO as a courtesy to the organiser and to let any wait-listed people into the meet-up. If you have time, stay back for a social catch up with your fellow book club members. Of course, you can go as soon as the book club finishes, but if you have time, then this is a great opportunity to find out all the news and what books people have been reading over the last couple of months. Happy Reading!!! 🤓😊

Vision Boarding: fun new year's goal setting workshop
Vision Boarding: fun new year's goal setting workshop
## Neurospicy Vision Boarding ✨ **Create a visual reminder of the life you want to build.** This is a relaxed session where we’ll spend time creating **vision boards** together. A **vision board** is a large visual collage that represents how you want your life to look and feel. People usually use images and words from magazines, but drawing, writing, and doodling are just as welcome. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s to create something you can **take home and put somewhere visible**. A reminder of what you’re aiming toward, especially on days when motivation is low. The light woo bit: Seeing your intentions regularly helps keep them top-of-mind and easier to act on. Not magic. Just attention doing its thing. *** ### What Happens (High Level) 1. Short welcome and explanation of what a vision board is 2. Open time to create your board 3. Plenty of space to chat, body-double, or work quietly 4. You head home with your board and decide where it lives No presentations. No step-by-step facilitation. Sharing is optional. *** ### How People Usually Make Vision Boards Traditionally, people: * Cut images and words out of magazines * Stick them onto a large sheet of paper * Arrange things until it “feels right” You can also: * Draw * Write phrases or keywords * Doodle badly (genuinely fine) * Mix all of the above There’s no right way. If it makes sense to you, it’s working. *** ### 🗓 When & Where **📍 Sandringham Library** **🕜 1.30pm – 3.30pm** Stay for the whole session or drop in for part of it. *** ### What’s Provided * A3 paper * A small selection of magazines * A few pens and pencils (but not many so please BYO) *** ### 👜 What to Bring (Optional but Encouraged) If you want more choice or personal relevance: * **Scissors** (we only have 2 sets) * Magazines or printed images/quotes (You can print cheaply at the library.) * Your favourite pens or markers * Snacks or drinks that help you focus It’s also fine to bring nothing and just use what’s there but you might just have 1-2 pens available. *** ### 🧩 Who This Is For * Neurodivergent folks (ADHD, Autistic, AuDHD, self-identified welcome) * People who think better visually * Anyone who benefits from body-doubling * Folks who want inspiration *and* momentum No creative skills or clear goals required. *** ### ❓FAQs **How is this different from SMART goals?** Vision boarding is about direction and motivation. SMART goals are about structure and execution. Many people use a vision board first, then translate parts of it into SMART goals later. **What do I do after I finish my vision board?** Take it home and put it somewhere you’ll see it regularly. Over time, you can: * Notice which parts still resonate * Turn specific elements into goals or habits * Update or remake it when things change **Do I need to know what I want before coming?** No. The process often helps clarify that. **Do I have to talk or share my board?** No. Chatting and sharing are optional. **Will my visions come true?** Only if you know *the secret* (which is that dreams without action stay dreams). **Is the space accessible?** Sandringham Library is accessible. Message ahead if you want to check anything specific.

Thought Experiment: Containment Failure (ENCORE EVENT)
Thought Experiment: Containment Failure (ENCORE EVENT)
Ever wondered how humanity would respond to an asteroid heading for Earth? Or how the world might react to first contact with aliens? Welcome to **The Thought Experiment** — a new kind of meetup where we explore big *“What if…?”* scenarios in a fun but thoughtful way. Each session, we’ll pick one scenario (from global crises to wild sci-fi situations) and work together to imagine solutions, strategies, and possibilities. This is for **curious minds of all kinds** — students, professionals, creatives, or anyone who enjoys thinking differently. Some people might bring research, others just bring imagination. Either way, we’ll brainstorm together and see where the discussion takes us. [Thought Experiment Site](https://thoughtexperiment.au) **We ask everyone to Buy a drink at the venue** **You Need to have Conversational English.** **Format:** * Quick intro to the scenario * Small-group discussions * Share back with the group * Wrap up + (optional) post-discussion drinks For our first meetup, we’ll introduce the format, get to know each other, and jump into a scenario together. ***Story Arc: Apocalypse*** Keywords: Viral Outbreak, Halloween Encore, Zombies **Scenario: Containment Failure** Next Week in the Horrors of Consciousness Series. It began in a private research facility — a corporation working on a cure for everything. Disease. Aging. Even death itself. But something went wrong. A breach. Something escaped. Those exposed don’t die — they change. Cities are falling silent. Denial is policy. We are the last survivors — trapped, desperate, and running out of time. Will we trust each other… or turn on our own? And along the way… there will be twists. Join us this Saturday, 3–5 PM at Oxford Scholar. A small group. Big imagination. No right answers — just curiosity, debate & fun.

Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few. How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again. So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that. Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology life improvement center.
Software ate the world, Agents are eating Software Engineering
Software ate the world, Agents are eating Software Engineering
2026 may be the last year many developers write code by hand. We need coding agents to solve complex problems in production codebases, but vibe coding alone won’t get us there. Vibe coding is all gas, no brakes. It burns up the context window until the agent slips on its own slop. You can go fast at first, but the more you stuff into the context window, the more tangled its outputs get. While the industry is rapidly increasing code generation speed, we still have to understand, review, merge, and maintain what gets shipped. This talk will outline how coding agents (Claude Code + Gas Town) work and a framework for orchestrating them to solve complicated problems in complex codebases. It’s about steering the model: doing the research to align intent, planning the approach up front, implementing in parallel steps, and breaking early. Human judgment still matters, but it should be spent on high-leverage decisions: what to build, what to forbid, and “what is quality?”, not cleaning up slop. Attendees will leave with a checklist to identify workflow and environment gaps that hold agents back, so you and your team can ship higher-quality software starting tomorrow.
