This year we will feature genuine AOC Champagne bubblies as well as a couple of rare still Champagne wines. They’ll be served with delicious English cheeses, and other interesting pairings for sparkling wine. There’ll be no boring lectures, but a couple of fun games, and a Champagne-influenced music and artwork playlist / slideshow (no more AI pictures!). A quick note for those who attended the Champagne weekend in November – all of the bottles served will be brand new to you! The cost is 40€ for 7 wines (plus welcome drink), and plenty of food. Welcome to Sunday Tech Coffee. This is a **networking** event for those in the tech industry in Berlin. Usually we are inside at the green table. Look for the Meetup sign, or just ask around!

This group is for everyone who is interested in drawing portraits! For me, drawing has been a wonderful way to gain a new perspective on the world and the people within it. Whether you are just starting out or have been drawing for ages — all levels are welcome :) How it works: 1\. We meet at The Castle pub in Mitte and do short sittings of 15 minutes for each other\. The first sitting is divided into 3 warm\-up sketches\, 5 minutes each\. 2\. Before we start\, everybody writes their name on a blank card \(provided by the organizer\); these cards are then used to randomly pick the model every 15 minutes\. 3\. Usually we do 8 sittings\, with a 15\-minute break in the middle \(so after 4 sittings\, or 1 hour\)\. -> The participation is free, but it is expected that everybody orders something from the bar to support the lovely location. Get out your pencils and let's start! Please bring your own art supplies!

The workshop is designed for a small group, allowing a flexible and supportive approach, adapting to each participant’s level: from guiding beginners to helping experienced artists tackle their personal creative challenges. Without the pressure of achieving a final result, we will immerse ourselves in learning the method and enjoying the creative process. You will train the ability to truly observe a face, and the practical tools to translate it effectively into an authentic, realistic portrait. **What we’ll do... step by step:** We’ll combine theory and practice. * Practice targeted observation to select the best reference photo * Use the grid method for accurate proportions and create a preliminary sketch * Understand the differences between pencils of various hardness and get familiar with the materials we’ll use * Master shading (the real magic!) with hatching techniques to shape volume and depth * Train your observational skills to recognize different tonal values * Explore changing perspectives to refresh your vision * Discuss common mistakes and learn how to avoid them * Participate in an open Q&A, receive personalized tips, and get feedback throughout the process * Learn how to preserve and protect your finished portrait **Breaks and Refreshments** While drawing, we’ll enjoy some tea. Between the first and second parts of the workshop, we’ll take a relaxing 30-minute break, as drawing can be quite intense.
