The AI-driven Business
The AI-driven Business
The adoption of AI is accelerating in all areas of economic activity - in all verticals and across consumers, public and private sectors. In this event we will discuss key success factors in AI adoption, we will deconstruct AI jargon using plain language, and cover numerous use cases in full production across all verticals. *About the speaker:* **Carlos Escapa** is Executive in Residence at Across Legal in Barcelona Spain. He has held various roles at Amazon Web Services and Meta AI in Silicon Valley, where he specialised in the development of industrial alliances and global go-to-market ecosystems. Prior to that he was co-founder and CEO of VirtualSharp Software, with a successful exit to Unitrends Inc (Insight Venture Partners). Carlos has an MS from Virginia Tech in Computer Science, and a BS from Illinois State University. He is a guest lecturer of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence at Berkeley-Haas, ESADE and IE. **About his book *The AI-driven Business*** AI is no longer optional. Companies that integrate it strategically grow up to 650% faster than those adopting it tactically. Yet most business leaders struggle to move beyond pilots and proof-of-concepts. The gap between AI potential and AI reality remains vast. This book bridges the divide between technical AI and business strategy. Drawing from 60+ case studies and proprietary frameworks developed through training 1,400+ executives at ESADE, it offers a rigorous yet accessible guide to leading with AI—moving beyond the hype and into actionable transformation.

🍺 Agentic Coding Meetup — Devs & Drinks
🍺 Agentic Coding Meetup — Devs & Drinks
No slides. No speaker. No agenda. Just developers talking shop over a cold one. This is an informal gathering for engineers, founders, and builders who are deep in the agentic coding trenches — using tools like Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, OpenCode, or rolling their own agent pipelines. Come swap what's actually working, what blew up in production, and what you're excited about right now. We'll be at a bar in Gràcia, Barcelona, and the format is simple: show up, grab a drink, and share what you know. Bring a laptop if you want to show something, but it's not required. **What we talk about (but not limited to):** * Agentic coding workflows and tooling * Prompt engineering & context engineering in practice * Multi-agent architectures and orchestration * AI-native product building * What's broken in the ecosystem and how you're working around it **Who should come:** Developers, technical founders, and AI engineers who build with (or on top of) LLMs. All levels welcome — senior devs with war stories and curious beginners both make the conversation better. **Format:** Open conversation, round-table style. Everyone teaches, everyone learns.

De su web: Gemma 4 introduces key capabilities and architectural advancements: Reasoning – All models in the family are designed as highly capable reasoners, with configurable thinking modes. Extended Multimodalities – Processes Text, Image with variable aspect ratio and resolution support (all models), Video, and Audio (featured natively on the E2B and E4B models). Diverse & Efficient Architectures – Offers Dense and Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) variants of different sizes for scalable deployment. Optimized for On-Device – Smaller models are specifically designed for efficient local execution on laptops and mobile devices. Increased Context Window – The small models feature a 128K context window, while the medium models support 256K. Enhanced Coding & Agentic Capabilities – Achieves notable improvements in coding benchmarks alongside native function-calling support, powering highly capable autonomous agents. Native System Prompt Support – Gemma 4 introduces native support for the system role, enabling more structured and controllable conversations.
