Exploring Faith Through Alpha
Wondering about life, faith, or just keen for some honest conversation?
We’d love to invite you to Alpha at Crossway Boroondara.
Alpha is a relaxed and welcoming space where you can explore life’s big questions—like purpose, God, and who Jesus is—through short videos and open, judgment-free discussion over 8 consecutive weeks. There’s no pressure, no expectations, and no such thing as a “wrong” question.
Whether you’re just curious, new to faith, or returning after some time away, you’re really welcome. Come as you are, meet some great people, and be part of the conversation—we’d love to have you there.
The night starts at 7pm with a free dinner.
Spiritual Growth Begins Tonight.
THESE NIGHTS ARE for those Ready to gain more information about Spiritual Growth, THE JOURNEY. It has been slotted to run for 3 Hours, but anyone can stay the entire time or freely choose to leave early.
I have DVD or CD recordings that help those interested get a far greater understanding about Jesus / Isa / Yoshua's Teachings (Same Brilliant man/ Eternal Soul when on Earth and named Differently by 3 Different Religions - Christian - Jesus, Muslim - Isa and Jewish - Yoshua). There are also DVD or CD recordings from Joseph Campbell, Deepak Chopra, Mother Theresa, Stuart Wilde, David Hawkins, Esther Hicks, Dennis Waitley, Gregg Braden, Wayne Dyer and Other Smart Spiritual and Gifted Teachers of The Human Mind. Topics that can be covered include: How "A Course in Miracles" came to be, Near Death Experiences, The Second Coming, The Evolution of Mankind's Spiritual Understanding, The Human Ego, Buddhism, The Christian Teachings EDITED FROM The Bible, Taoism, Ayurveda, Zen, Chi, The Bhagavad - Gita and Guided Meditations. We can workout on the night what to listen to or discuss to advance The Group Spiritually. There are Guided Meditations, The Entire - A Course in Miracles and many of The Current and Recently Departed Famous Spiritual Teachers on CD. There are also DVD's and CD's for learning how to control Emotions and Reduce Stress.
NOTE: SPIRITUAL TRUTH can be stranger than what most humans call fiction on this planet!!!
The Universal Source is "Unconditionally Loving for Eternity."
There has never been and there can never be The Wrath of God or a Final Judgement Day where The Creator, God, Allah, Yhvh or any other given name, who deals out what The Insane Human Ego believes humans deserve.
SOURCE ENERGY IS ETERNAL AND IS ALWAYS UNCONDITIONALLY LOVING, AS ARE WE THE ETERNAL SOULS CONNECTED TO IT, HOWEVER WE AS HUMAN SOULS APPEAR TO BE LIVING IN MORTAL BODIES ON PLANET EARTH AT THE EFFECT OF THE HUMAN EGO.
Truth to Power

Watch Anzac Day Parade and (optional) Lunch Afterward with Christian Gatherings
Hi Guys,
With Anzac Day on April 25, lets watch the Anzac Day march/parade and then later have lunch at the food court at South Gate afterword.
For those who have not been, the ANZAC Day march is a really special event.
For those who wish to watch the march/parade, we will meet at 10am at the Floral Clock (see map pin and image below). Look for the really tall guy – that’s me. (I'll most likely be wearing a blue Australia hat). At around 10:15, we will find a spot to watch the parade for about an hour/hour and a half. We won't be too far from the Floral Clock. At around 12pm or so (maybe 12:30pm), we will head over to the South Gate food court.
For anyone who just wants to come to the lunch after, we will arrive at the South Gate Food Court at around 11:45am or 12pm.
Should be all finished by around 1:45pm.
Notes:
**(1) Please Bring Suitable clothes** depending on the weather forecast (coat/umbrella/hat etc.)
**(2) Allow extra time for arriving there**. Parking can be difficult. Public transport can be easiest option but remember there are no trams running down St Kilda Road because of the parade. Also, if you are on the opposite side of St Kilda Road to the meeting point, it may take time to cross because of the parade (usually, they don't allow you to cross the road while the parade is on, but sometimes they do).
**(3) Call or text me** on 0437 595 848 if you are having trouble finding us.
(4) During our lunch, we will have a short discussion with the topic 'What does ANZAC Day mean to you? What do you think of sacrifice and service?'

*Drinks optional, fun guaranteed!*
**What to bring:** Food to share. Yep, that's right! You can BYO food.
Bar Nearby is a small bar/cafe with a relaxed atmosphere. It feels like you've invited friends over for a meal, and it is the perfect environment for connecting without all the hype.
**RSVP: Please let us know if you're coming by 20th April, and we will save you a seat!**
These events happen once a month, alternating between Sunday afternoons and Friday nights, and will be held in different venues across Melbourne. Our next event in May will be held in Hawthorn or closer to the CBD, so if we don't connect this month, hopefully we'll see you soon!
Looking forward to seeing you! Fi x
Sunday Meditation | Community Building | Connection | Meet New People
**Who We are..... 🤝**
Our journey to bring people together began in January of 2022. The group was started with a simple intention to gather and meet some likeminded people - connecting through the powerful act of meditation and sharing our genuine selves while sitting in a circle that represents equality, harmony and wholeness( *we believe everyone in the circle is a teacher and a student at the same time)*.
And over the last 4 years of consistently coming together, we have fostered a beautiful, loving, dependable community where members from all walks of life have experienced a sacred space to sit in silence together and meditate, share their authentic selves, give presence to others and forge meaningful and long lasting connections.
The Meditations are guided by Sana(co-founder and host), who is a Trained and certified meditation teacher by the Meditation Association of Australia, and has been guiding meditations for 3+ years in corporate and community settings.
✨ **Do you wish to....**
* Experience a simple yet powerful meditation and breathing practice to find calm, relaxation and clarity
* Connect with like-minded people in your local community and foster meaningful connections
* Meet others who are passionate about growing, uplifting themselves, and supporting others
* Share insights from your personal journey (or simply listen and learn)
Or maybe you just want to...
☮️ **Spend your Sunday evening in a peaceful, zen space and meet new people? Bring a friend (or two!) and let’s connect.**
**What’s on the evening’s flow?**
* **Open meet & greet** – connect and settle in
* **5 min guided meditation** to land into the space and connect within
* **Sharing circle** (totally optional!) – share your thoughts or simply listen
* **20-30 min guided meditation** – for relaxation and deeper connection
**Where?**
📍 **250 George St, Fitzroy VIC 3065**
Enter through the church gates. You’ll see a small garden on the left and stairs on the right leading up to the **Dance of Life Yoga Studio (first door on your right upstairs).**
**What to bring?**
* **Donation:** A contribution of **$10 or more is recommended**.
Your donations directly help us cover venue, meetup membership and other costs, provide valuable resources, and keep this meditation community alive and growing.
* **Warm jumper/jacket** (just in case!)
* **Water**
* **Any books/resources/inspiration you’d love to share**
**Important Notes:**
* Spaces are **limited**, so if you can’t make it, please update your RSVP to “Not going” or send us a quick message.
* **No-show policy:** To keep it fair for everyone, repeat no-shows without notice may not be able to RSVP in the future.
* Attendees under 18 must have a guardian present.
**Everyone is welcome!**
All ages (with guardians for under 18), backgrounds, genders, and experiences – no meditation experience needed.
The event runs for about **2.5 hours**, but you’re free to come and go as you need.
Sunday Indoor Football
Friendly game of five a side indoor football (soccer).
Indoor trainers/boots. No studs. Played on timber floor.
Bibs will be supplied.
Game Rules:
Kick ins from the side.
Goal keeper must throw the ball out when the ball goes behind.
No slide tackles.
After each goal a spot kick is taken and the opposing team must stand behind the white line (you'll understand when you get there).
Keeper rotates every 6 minutes.
If you need to pull out of the game for any reason, please RSVP no and then message the event so that another can potentially fill your spot. Please note that you should do this at least 48 hours (the sooner the better) before the game to allow the chance for someone to take your spot. If we are unable to fill the spot then I will not be able to refund you. Thank you.
Play 3-Sided Soccer at Albert Park - mixed - social - all levels - all fitness
3 Teams. 3 Goals. Hexagonal Pitch. A game of alliance and betrayal in equal measure.
We are looking for new players and returning players alike to come play a match. Players of any ability, fitness level or background are welcomed - the game is intended to be fun for a Sunday morning rather than super competitive.
If you've never played before, that's okay - the rules are as simple as this:
* There's no offside - roam where you will
* Defend your goal at all costs
* No hands (this is soccer-style football after all)
Come down for 9:00am, we make some balanced teams and warm up for the match starting at 9:15.
Three thirds are played of 25 minutes each so we're usually done by about 11:00am. All fitness and soccer skill levels more than welcome and encouraged!
A note regarding junior players:
We very much enjoy and encourage junior players to come along and play however please be aware of the following:
* As most attendees are adults, all players must be a minimum of 1.5m tall and 13 years of age. Soccer may have incidental contact when contesting a ball, and we would hate for someone small to be injured as a result of running into someone larger than them.
* Any players under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a playing parent or guardian.
How to find us -
We meet on the astroturf pitch near the Baselball and Hockey clubs in Albert Park. The main location we use is called "Dorothy Coleman Field". If we aren't there then there may be a couple of other locations, [as noted on this dynamic map](https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1JdDwV4AOV5e-xP5d56m16-eu29GlnZQ&usp=sharing) \- generally we will follow in number order\.
Alphington Soulful Conversations
In the spirit of Anzac Day, this Sunday's conversation will be about the subject of War and Peace. The discussion will be stimulated by quotations from the world's leading thinkers.
As a special one-off offer, **meals and coffees will be on me.** **That's right, I am shouting!** So hope to see you on Sunday, note the new time of 10 am.
Please RSVP by Saturday 10am if you are coming.
Regards
Vahid

COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process.
Fast track

• Show up and try it out.
• Complete application, etc. later.
Normal process
• Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/).
• Attend orientation in advance.
• At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility.
• Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM.
• Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895).
The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014.
Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.

Our meditations guide others to actually experience that energy! xoxo We don't just talk about peace, love and affection, we experience it :)
