Welcome to The Townsville Hiking Meetup Group. I have recently inherited this group to save it from completely shutting down
When a Meetup group completely shuts down, with it gets deleted the memories and information about the past walks and photos of that group and that would have been a shame as this group was once upon a time around 5-6 years ago an incredibly active group.
My name is Cherry Judge and I am also the organiser of another Meetup group called "Let's Walk Townsville" - https://www.meetup.com/LetsWalkTownsville/
I started "LET'S WALK TOWNSVILLE" in 2016.
We are active through the week with walks around town and on weekends, we do longer hikes.
Everyone is welcome at all stages of their walking abilities and journeys. We encourage members to host walks as well if they want to and that in turn adds a lot of variety to the Let's Walk Townsville Group's smorgasbord of walks.
I am adding this here, because if you join this Meetup - it will remain inactive as it is really time-consuming to keep 2 similar genres of meetup groups going - so please also - Join LET'S WALK TOWNSVILLE as this is where we will be posting regular events and you will then be able to get notifications of all future walks
