Dinner at Lalibela's Ethiopian Restaurant - Weds Mar 18 @ 6pm
Details
Join the Travel & Culture Group for a delicious evening at Lalibela’s in Omaha on Weds, March 18 at 6:00pm for an authentic Ethiopian dinner experience!
Lalibela’s is one of the Midwest's most beloved Ethiopian restaurants, with an extensive menu and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Ethiopian food is perfect for groups because many dishes are served on a large platter of injera, the traditional soft sourdough flatbread, with a variety of flavorful items arranged on top for everyone to share and sample together. I highly recommend pairing up with a person or two at the event and splitting one of their combination or sampler platters, since each of these dishes are large enough to feed 2 or 3 adults!
Great options to share:
Combination Platter – $28.99
A very filling platter with a wide sampling of Ethiopian favorites, including meat options, including dry tibs, doro wot, cabbage, greens, ayib (Ethiopian cheese), and lentils.
Vegetarian Sampler – $21.99
This is a fantastic choice for veggie lovers, with a generous variety of red, green, and yellow lentils, cabbage, salad, and greens — no meat or cheese.
Of course, you’re also welcome to order anything else from the menu if you prefer :)
Cash is preferred (but not mandatory) to help split checks for sharing sampler platters. Due to the limited restaurant size, having an accurate RSVP list is very important for this event: Please RSVP if you plan to attend, and update your attendance if anything changes.
March is the perfect month for something a little different, so get ready for a wonderful social & ethnic dinner with great food, good conversation, and a chance to experience something new together. Ethiopian dining is interactive, flavorful, and perfect for sharing, so come hungry and ready to try a variety of dishes.
I hope you’ll join us for this fun and flavorful night out at Lalibela’s!
