About us
About Triad EcoHub, powered by TEEM (Temple Emanuel Environmental Movement)
Temple Emanuel Environmental Movement has been hosting monthly environmental documentary films since 2007. We have hosted speaker panels and always have great thoughtful discussions. WE TAKE ACTION!
Environmental advocacy requires a connection with every spectrum of life - from justice, to economics, to air, water and soil, to biodiversity, to energy, to emissions of greenhouse gases and carbon sinks. Since 2007, TEEM has worked with faith-based groups, environmental organizations, human rights groups, government entities and nonprofit organizations on various environmental issues.
In this space, we also post other events.
During COVID19, we started showing films virtually. Now that COVID 19 is waning, we are back to the synagogue, but, when able, we host hybrid events.
PLEASE NOTE if the event is LIVE ONLY, VIRTUAL ONLY, or HYBRID!
We are inclusive and accept all visitors. We do expect all that join us to be professional and polite.
Please join us.

Warren County Environmental Action Team| “Our Movement Starts Here” is an 82-minute feature length documentary chronicling the birth of the environmental justice movement in 1982 which was sparked by the fight of a rural, majority-Black community in Warren County, North Carolina, against a toxic PCB landfill.
The documentary combines contemporary interviews with original protesters and newer activists to highlight how the movement continues to inspire efforts against environmental inequities, climate injustices and systemic marginalization that disproportionately affect communities of color. Younger activists are learning from their elders about the environmental movements, and how they are locally rooted yet internationally influential. |
