What we’re about
English below 👇
--------------------------------------------
Come explore with us what it means to connect truthfully, playfully, and with heart 🫀
Hi, I'm Abbygaelle 👋
I started this group from a desire to create spaces where we can relate to others (and ourselves!) more fully and honestly. I have a history of letting my fear and shame get in the way of connecting with others, thinking I need to "figure myself out" before I can really show up.
Through trying out MANY different practices (movement, meditation, NVC, Authentic Relating...) I am learning to change that way of being!
We are all messy humans figuring out how to live a meaningful life in a confusing world.
Let's get together and remember that it's okay to show what we really feel!
For more connected and nourishing lives 🤗

Being Authentic Together 🌱 Ghent #1

Grab your ticket here 🎟Let's pass on the small talk, and get more present 🎁
This is a cosy English-speaking gathering :)
(voor Nederlands, check Verbinden in het Moment 🌱)
What can you expect ?
Imagine something between fun social games 🎈 and meditation 🧘
Some games are playful and silly, while others go deeper.
Together we'll create a warm, supportive environment where we all get to be ourselves, while also:
- Expanding out of our comfort zone 🌟
- Getting the opportunity to build deep new friendships 👯
- Practicing becoming more authentic, daring to say what is really true for us 🙊even when it's scary
For this intro, I will guide you a lot, so if you're a bit nervous, don't worry, we got you! 🐣
Here's a few things we practice with Authentic Relating games:- Becoming more curious and less judgmental of ourselves and others 😯
- Becoming more aware of what's happening for us in the moment 👁
- Revealing what is happening for us 🦸
- Saying no, asserting our boundaries and preferences
- Listening (and being heard) deeply👂
And just to be clear, this is NOT a place to hunt for dates 🙅♀️

About me
My name is Abbygaelle 👋 I’m 31 and became aware of Authentic Relating Games about 8 years ago while living in San Francisco. A game night was recommended o me by a close friend, as he was noticing how shy I was to connect with people 🙈
I was nervous, but the concept seemed intriguing enough, so I gave it a go. I was so impressed by the simplicity and the profound effects of the exercises!
Understanding that humans could create little practice grounds for authenticity together, was such a powerful insight for me.
Because let’s be honest, being ourselves out in the world can feel impossible, terrifying, and counter-productive a lot of the time!
I was moved deeply by a whole subculture built around authentic expression, and kept deepening into AR and other relational practices such as NVC, Circling, Contact Improv, IFS…
So I quickly decided to organize AR workshops for my friends, back in 2018, and eventually started spreading these beautiful practices wherever life would take me. Since then I’ve facilitated workshops and curated game nights for various intentional communities and families in the US, South America, Australia, Portugal, and now in my home country of Belgium :)
