This event is intentionally unstructured. No name tags, no forced icebreakers, no pressure. Just a friendly crowd, good drinks, and plenty of opportunities to strike up conversations and connect at your own pace. Everyone is there for the same reason: to make new friends.

Whether you’re new to Richmond or just looking to expand your circle, this is an easy way to get out of the house, meet welcoming people, and enjoy a laid-back evening together.

“Her” is a 2013 film by Spike Jonze about the a sensitive and soulful man who earns a living by writing personal letters for other people. Left heartbroken after his marriage ends, Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix) becomes fascinated with a new operating system which reportedly develops into an intuitive and unique entity in its own right. He starts the program and meets "Samantha" (Scarlett Johansson), whose bright voice reveals a sensitive, playful personality. Though "friends" initially, the relationship soon deepens into love.

We’ll gather to talk about the film’s themes, visuals, and big ideas, and choose next month’s movie at the end of our meeting—so come prepared with your own film suggestions!

Ready to try something a little different? Join us for a high-energy axe throwing night that is all about fun, laughs, and meeting new people. This event is designed to be welcoming, social, and just the right amount of competitive.

We will kick things off with instruction from the pros so everyone feels comfortable and confident. Then the fun really begins. Along with classic axe throwing, we have the Ninja Package, which means you will also get to throw a mix of other unexpected and fun items. Think variety, surprises, and lots of “wait, this is actually so fun” moments.

If you are looking for a unique way to get out of the house, try something new, and make new friends in a fun setting, this one is for you. Come hang out, throw some stuff, and leave with great memories and maybe a new friend or two.

We’re heading to the stadium as a group to cheer on RVA, enjoy the game day vibes, and kick off the season right. Every attendee joining with our group will receive a Kickers branded hat, so you’ll be repping Richmond in style.

Wear red, bring the energy, and get ready for a fun night of soccer, food trucks, drinks, and community. Whether you’re a big soccer fan or just looking for a lively night out with good people, this is an easy, fun way to spend the evening.

The game starts at 6:00 PM, but feel free to come early to grab food, explore the stadium, and mingle with new friends before kickoff. We’ll be hanging out, soaking up the energy, and getting settled together.
