Looking for a cozy, low-stress way to spend a winter Sunday? Let’s escape the cold together and spend the day exploring one of Minneapolis’s best free spots — the Minneapolis Institute of Art!

We’ll meet up in the lobby at 11:00 AM, and we can explore the museum as a group (or wander on your own…totally up to you!). The museum is huge and full of incredible art, so whether you’re into ancient artifacts, modern masterpieces, or just want to stroll with a warm coffee☕️, there’s something for everyone.

👉 RSVP encouraged so I know a who to look out for because the museum is so big.

Bundle up, bring your curiosity, and let’s make a day of it! This event could easily go past 3 pm. But I wanted to set it up for four hours or so as a general amount of time.

I personally have always loved this place so I think it would be a great way to spend an afternoon!

Join us for a relaxed Sunday lunch at Ansari’s Mediterranean Grill! We’ll enjoy great Mediterranean flavors, good conversation, and an easygoing afternoon together. Whether you’re a fan of gyros, kabobs, or just want to connect with friendly people over a warm meal, you’re welcome to join.

I like to host lunch and dinner dates every now and then. Because it takes a lot of courage for people to come out to Meetup events to hang out with a bunch of people they don’t know. And what better way to get to know each other than sharing a good meal! 🥘

This place has amazing food at very fair prices. So I think you all are gonna love it! The reservation only allowed me a maximum of 20 people. So make sure you get your spot in as soon as you can!

Meetup Spot!

Let’s meet near the park shelter / pavilion area inside the park, which is centrally located and easy to find. There are picnic tables and benches under the pavilion, so it will provide a comfortable and visible gathering point. The shelter is in the grassy part of East End Park and is noted in the park’s amenities!

On the day of the festival, look for the pavilion with benches/tables just inside the main park grounds — I’ll be standing by the shelter with a light colored hat!

Event Description🧀

Join me for a fun morning at the Cheese Curd Festival in Ellsworth! This is a FREE event — both admission and parking/shuttle access are free!

We’ll start together at 10:00 AM at East End Park and then explore the festival as a group (or feel free to branch off once we’ve met up). Here’s what we’ll do…

• Meet and greet at 10:00 AM near the park pavilion in East End Park.
• Stroll through the vendor marketplace and food-truck alley together (hand-battered cheese curds, dessert curds, cheese curd tacos, and so much more! Cheese Curd Festival Ellsworth, WI+1
• Enjoy live music, people-watching, checking out the artisan booths, and maybe grab a spot to relax with a drink or snack.
• At our own pace — no set agenda after the Meetup. Some of us might stay for an hour or two, others longer — whatever works for you!

What to Bring🧀

• Wear comfortable shoes — the festival covers the park and adjacent streets.
• Bring a folding chair or a blanket if you like relaxing on grass. The park has benches/tables, but extra seating is never a bad idea!
• It’s outside and outdoors; if weather is uncertain, bring a light rain jacket or umbrella (the festival is rain or shine)!
• Parking & Shuttle Info: There are free parking lots and a free shuttle service from designated lots into the festival grounds.
• Bring cash/card for food/drinks/vendors — though admission is free, purchasing food or items from vendors will cost.
• If you’re bringing friends, all are welcome!
• We’ll meet at 10:00 AM sharp (or a few minutes after) to give everyone time to arrive before it gets too busy.
