💈Festivus Hike 🎊 @ Richardson Nature Ctr-Bloomington+Social @Full Tilt

A Festivus for the rest of us!! On Sat, Dec. 20, Let's kick off our holiday week with an early Festivus hike on the trails at Richardson Nature Center/Hyland Park Reserve! (The official Festivus holiday is on 12/23).

Following the hike(optional), we will gather at nearby Full Tilt Tavern for eats, drinks and conversation (*grievances optional).

What is Festivus? Check this out: Do you feel disconnected from the joy of the holiday season? Maybe you didn't grow up celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah or any other winter holiday. Worry not, there is another holiday option: Festivus, the celebration for "the rest of us." https://festivusweb.com/

THE HIKE: Plan to hike 5-6 miles in about 2 hours at a medium pace (19-20 minute mile). The terrain is uneven and varies with some stretches of pavement, rocks, roots, loose gravel, snow, ice, mud and dirt. There are some rolling hills. Grippers and/or poles are recommended due to anticipated packed snow and ice on the trail.

Facilities: Modern restrooms and drinking water are available inside the nature center at the trailhead with none along the trail.
This is a Three Rivers Park, so FREE Parking (A Festivus Miracle!!)

Sorry, no dogs, +1s or children allowed. Only Twin Cities Hiking Meetup members who agree to these expectations will be welcome on the hike.
