Saddle Mountain Hike

Details

A curvy, sun-dappled road winds through a captivating lush green forest, drawing you towards the trailhead you seek.

An unapologetically steep trail beckons you to hike up a series of switchbacks to a summit unrivaled along Oregon's coast.

On the path, water from a cold spring trickles out over the trail as your intrepid hiking shoes splash through puddles with aplomb.

Birds chatter with each other about summer plans and who's taking who to the dance.

Mountain vistas open up at every turn as you make your ascent. Take a moment to catch your breath as your eyes devour the stunning sight of four snow-dusted mountains in the distance.

At the peak, look out on a massive blue Pacific Ocean, and a handful of ships queuing up along the Columbia River, eager to set forth on ocean voyages to exotic distant lands.

Enjoy the sun on your face, the wind through your hair, and savor the serenity of the moment.
