Unity of Walnut Creek embodies a positive path for spiritual living. We present practical, spiritual teachings that empower abundant and meaningful living. We're located in the East Bay of the S.F. Bay Area, specifically in central Contra Costa County in the city of Walnut Creek. We offer Sunday services, prayer support, a book center, and many classes, special events and workshops to enhance personal and spiritual growth and foster wholeness in mind-body-spirit. Discover how a simple daily practice can transform your life.
Based on The Magic by Rhonda Byrne, this 5-week journey starting July 7 explores the power of gratitude to shift your mindset and create more joy, prosperity, and peace.
Through real-life stories and easy-to-follow exercises, you’ll learn how to align with the “gratitude frequency” and begin to feel more connected, uplifted, and in sync with life.
In her book, The Magic, Rhonda Byrne demonstrates that gratitude is a powerful magnetic force. She describes people who have experienced physical recovery, emotional breakthroughs, and even financial windfalls by practicing gratitude consistently.
Through daily gratitude exercises, you, too, can transform your life from self-doubt and depression to joy, prosperity, and inner peace. You may start noticing good things you usually overlook. And then something weird starts to happen: you feel better, you start to smile more, and slowly your circumstances begin to shift. You start to feel in sync with the universe.
The book is required reading, and it would be helpful to have it with you at the first session. It may be purchased online from numerous vendors. The course will continue through Aug. 4. Drop-ins are welcome, but the full program will give you the most benefit.
The course is offered on a freewill donation basis ($20 per session most gratefully appreciated).
Your facilitator is Laurel Patterson, a member of Unity of Walnut Creek known for her warmth, clarity, and uplifting presence. A retired teacher, Laurel brings her natural gift for facilitation, organization, and inspiring communication to everything she does — from Sunday platform announcements to leading the monthly Bunco group and numerous book studies.
With a passion for personal transformation, Laurel shares openly how the practice of gratitude helped her move from self-doubt and depression to a life filled with joy, prosperity, and inner peace.

Join with others on the fourth Wednesday of each month – in person in Unity's Sanctuary or via Zoom – to practice simple heart-focused techniques that will help you connect more deeply with the wisdom of your heart.
These practices can improve your personal health and happiness, help you connect with the hearts of others, and empower you to contribute to creating greater harmony among peoples and nations.
We-Add-Heart is a rapidly growing international movement of people who connect with their hearts and the hearts of others, to live more fully from the heart and to add more heart to the world. This monthly session is offered through the heart-centered work generated at Unity of Walnut Creek, CA.

Take a little quiet time to re-center yourself and connect briefly with like-minded people.
From Monday through Thursday each week, you can participate in the Sanctuary OR via Zoom in your personal virtual / spiritual setting.
Settle into silent meditation, experience upliftment in readings from the Daily Word, and join in prayer – for the world and for everyone on Unity's prayer list. Each precious name is read. You are invited to pray personally for those on your heart during the service.
We are available afterward for private individual prayer. If you submitted a prayer to Unity’s prayer list, please join us to activate your faith and add to the power of our affirmative prayers.
