Hike Nashotah Park on Black Friday
Details
Join me and the nationwide movement to #OptOutside on Black Friday. It is an non-consumer alternative to the commercial frenzy of the day and also a way to walk off some of that turkey dinner--or whatever you have on Thanksgiving! Nashotah is a Waukesha County Park with rolling terrain of prairies and woodlands, as well as two nice lakes. The Waukesha County Parks Department is honoring #OptOutside by offering free entrance to its park system Thanksgiving week. We will hike the perimeter trail, approximately 3.3 miles.
For more information and a park map go to: https://awealthofnature.org/parks/nashotah-park/
The hike is not strenuous but the trail may be muddy or icy depending on conditions, so wear appropriate footwear. We will hike if it is snowing but not if it is raining.
There is a limit, so please let me know if you're bringing a guest.
