Utrecht JavaScript Meetup - December 2025!

Hi all!

We are already at the end of the year for our last meetup of 2025, so you definitely don't want to miss this!

This evening we have 2 great speakers with inspiring talks about “Accessibility and neurodivergence” and “the Intl API”

Our host for this evening is adesso Netherlands at their new office in Utrecht, which is just a 2 minute walk from central station. They will provide food and drinks!

Accessibility and Neurodivergence – by Alexandra Schlüter

When talking about accessibility, you might instantly think about topics like screen-readers or colour-blindness. But did you ever consider the needs of neurodivergent groups when developing software? And what does neurodivergence even mean?

In this talk, you will get an overview of the current state of research regarding accessibility and neurodivergence, and what this implies for software design and development.

There will also be room for people who want to speak about their own experiences, and for a broader discussion about software accessibility in general.

INTL: The best browser API you're not using – by Kilian Valkhof
Browsers are shipping a massive API: INTL, which is chock-full of features most developer still do an NPM install for. The INTL API will save you time, effort and frustration.
