Birds and Beyond: Nature Meets Agriculture at Lundale Farm
Details
Join us for a crisp autumn morning stroll through the fields and woodlands of Lundale Farm in northern Chester County.
November offers a unique chance to observe hardy resident birds like woodpeckers, sparrows, and nuthatches as they prepare for the colder months. The bare branches on the trees and the quiet landscape make it easier to spot and hear the birds around us. Whether you're a seasoned birder or just curious about the feathered friends that thrive on this landscape, this walk is a peaceful way to connect with nature before winter really sets in.
Lundale Farm is a community of regenerative farmers who work to enhance the ecology, health, and diversity of the land. Because the farm is sustainably managed, it not only provides fresh local food for consumers but also provides excellent habitat in which birds can thrive.
Our trip will cover 1-2 miles along the gravel farm road. Please bring binoculars if you have them. Beginners and children (accompanied by an adult) are always welcome at Valley Forge Audubon Society events.
A portable toilet is available on site.
