Details
Whether you're a seasoned birder or a curious beginner, please join us for this year's annual Christmas Bird Count and be part of a 126-year-old tradition that unites bird lovers across the western hemisphere.
Valley Forge Audubon Society (VFAS) volunteers have been conducting a Christmas Bird Count every winter since 1984 within a designated geographic area centered around Audubon, PA. Teams of volunteers are assigned specific locations at which to survey birds. Beginning birders are welcome to take part and will be assigned to a team with experienced members. (Think of it as your own private guided bird walk.) Because this census takes place during the holiday season and many people travel, we can be short of volunteers for the count.
If you are able and want to help, please contact Vince Smith (484-410-1157, [larusvs34@gmail.com](mailto:larusvs34@gmail.com)). It's a fantastic way to enjoy the outdoors and add a little birding magic to your holiday season.
